Cloud9 is today announcing the departure of Yasin Nisqy Dinçer, and we would like to extend our gratitude to him for what he helped the entire organization achieve. Nisqy wasted no time in making his mark on both Cloud9 and the LCS, and we are certain he will continue to find success in the future.
Nisqy joined Cloud9 in November of 2018 after a successful campaign with Splyce in Europe. In his first LCS Split with the team, LCS 2019 Spring, Nisqy helped C9 achieve a 14-4 regular season record and a 3rd-place finish in the playoffs on his way to placing on the 3rd All-Pro Team. LCS 2019 Summer would be one of improvement, as the team would finish in 2nd place while Nisqy earned 2nd All-Pro Team honors.
Nisqy excelled in LCS 2020 Spring, helping Cloud9 dominate the entire league on their way to a 17-1 regular season record and C9’s first LCS championship since 2014, as well as 1st All-Pro Team honors. During his two-year tenure with Cloud9, Nisqy was named to an All-Pro Team in every split and went on to amass a 56-16 regular season record.
“Although Nisqy’s journey with Cloud9 ends today, we will never forget everything he has done for the organization and are extremely thankful for all the work he has put in here. From the very beginning, Nisqy has been an example of what it means to be a good teammate. We are going to miss his sense of humor and the positive energy he brought into any room he walked into. It’s been a pleasure working with him over the past few years and we wish him all the best in the future.”—Jonathan Tran, League of Legends General Manager
“From my first call with Nisqy, I knew he was someone special. His positive attitude is contagious and he was the rock of our team for 2 years. I’m excited for his soon to be announced future but I’m going to miss him. I hope to meet up at many international events in the near future.”—Jack Etienne, Cloud9 CEO and Co-Founder
Everyone here deeply appreciates what Nisqy brought to the organization, both on and off the rift, and we look forward to seeing his career continue to develop. Thank you, Nisqy!
