Cloud9 is excited to announce the initiatives we will be launching this year for our 2021 Pride Campaign. As part of our never-ending pursuit to be the best possible LGBTQIA+ ally, we are leveling up our commitment to the community with several new initiatives and activities that we are thrilled to share with you.
To kick off the month, Cloud9 will be donating $4,000 to instantly match last year’s donation efforts. The donation will be split evenly between the LA LGBT Center, Trans Lifeline, and the Ali Forney Center, all amazing LGBTQIA+ organizations that we have worked with in the past. We are also launching a new Pride collection, featuring a tee, a tank, and a dad hat, which is available now in the C9 Store.
We are also bringing our efforts to our Training Grounds program, as we will be awarding three LGBTQIA+ scholarships in an exciting partnership with Aimlab! The recipients of these scholarships will have the opportunity to grow and develop within the inclusive Training Grounds community built on the foundations of trust, respect, and gaming excellence. In addition to these initiatives, we will be bringing the #C9Fam together with a special guest from Gay Gaming Professionals on June 21st for a charity stream that will benefit GaymerX, so we hope you’ll join us!
Make sure to keep an eye on our social channels, too, as we will have a Cloud9 Spotlight Series featuring the amazing LGBTQIA+ organizations in the gaming space! Every Sunday we will highlight one organization that is helping create a better environment for the LGBTQIA+ gaming community.
Finally, we know that the work that goes into being a truly committed LGBTQIA+ ally has to come from within as well, which is why we are joining the LA LGBT Center for a Cultural Competency Training that will be attended by Cloud9 staff as we continue to learn about how to be an aware and supportive ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
As we kick off Pride 2021, we want to hear from you! Connect with us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Discord and let us know what else you would like to see and how we can continue our efforts in supporting the community.
