Celebrating 10 Years of the GOAT

Today, May 6th, 2024, marks a decade of outstanding performance and dedication from Joseph “mang0” Marquez, Cloud9’s one and only Super Smash Bros. Melee competitor. Whether you know him as the man, the myth, or the kid, one thing is for sure: mang0 is truly the GOAT of Melee.

Beginning his journey with Cloud9 in 2014, mang0 is one of the most decorated players in SSBM history. With over a decade of victories, mang0’s notable achievements include Pound 3 and 4; EVO 2013 and 2014; The Big House 2, 4, 6, and 9; Genesis 1; Smash Summit 11 and 14; to name a few. To this day, mang0 remains dedicated to the game even in the face of adversity. His commitment to the Melee scene in the last ten years prominently shines through his active participation in supporting Melee locals and organizing tournament boot camps with other SSBM pros while keeping his fans engaged with top-tier humor and content from his streams.

Mang0 is officially the longest tenured talent here at Cloud9 and has become a key ambassador for the brand. I’m excited to see him continue to compete in Melee whilst we work alongside him to level up support for the Melee community.
